The Drummer is a multi-player wireless MIDI interface for your favorite DAW-Digital Audio Workstation (such as Logic for the Mac). It runs on a Nintendo DS and it is connected to your computer (or any computer in the Internet) through WIFI (by TCP/IP).

The working principle is simple: you start the Drummer Server on your computer, then you run the Drummer on your DS. After inserting the IP address and PORT number matching those on the Drummer Server and after having started your favorite DAW, you are ready to rock. The Drummer is open source and free of charge.

System Requirements. Mac OS X or Windows XP, 512 MB RAM, Java 1.5 or Processing 1.0, a WIFI enabled computer and (optionally) a router. Drummer (differently from the Lite version) needs also a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) such as Logic or Cubase.

* Note for Win XP users: Drummer uses a 3rd party MIDI library that might cause some issues, depending on your system configurations. We recommend Drummer Win XP for advanced users, who perhaps have no problem recompiling the code from the source.
